Shuhei Yoshida, president of Sony Worldwide Studios, says they expect more complete games for PSVR in the future.
In an interview with the Japanese PlayStation blog for last week’s Tokyo Game Show, the president of Sony Worldwide Studios explained that many of the PSVR games so far have been short experiences, but the appetite for larger games is growing.
“Users won’t want a short experience, they’ll want to have a game to play for longer,” Yoshida said. “Based on those expectations, I came up with the strategy of making larger-scale complete games in the second and third years.”
Yoshida referred to titles such as the recently released Firewall Zero Hour and soon-to-be-released Astro Bot Rescue Mission as the beginnings of that plan. “The deeper titles will continue to increase in the future,” he added.
There are some great PSVR games on the horizon. In November, Dark Souls developer From Software will release an adventure game called Deracine, and the continuation of London Heist, Blood And Truth, by Sony London Studio is also expected.
