Google’s Art Copy and Code initiative present their latest experiment, an experience on climate change in which we will choose who we pay attention to.
Art Copy and Code, an initiative of Google that explores the limits of narrative in digital media, they bring us their latest experiment, Tabel, which consists of a short film that deals with climate change, and in which the novelty is that we will be able to choose which people to listen to from the scene, in addition to the fact that it is created to WebVR. The short film, which has been recorded with the Jump Odyssey camera, arrives on the occasion of Earth Day that is celebrated next Saturday, April 22.
We can access the Tabel website and press the play button, starting the loading of the movie. Once it starts, we are sitting at a table located in the center of an exclusive restaurant, where we can interact with 6 stories, choosing which conversations of the rest of the diners we listen. The short uses a unique sound technique that allows you to follow a single story or jump between them just by looking around.
As the night progresses, chaos will engulf the restaurant with heated discussions, in a drama of which we will be protagonists. We can watch the short in virtual reality, using a mobile with Chrome and a Cardboard or Daydream viewer. Or view it on PC through Chrome, with the possibility of also looking around us.
