There is already a release date for the retro-gore style shooter Strafe: March 28th. Support for virtual reality will have to wait a little longer, since interesting changes are being made at Pixel Titans.

After a successful Kickstarter campaign that led them to raise more than $200,000 just 2 years ago, Pixel Titans is finalizing the last details of STRAFE to have everything ready for March 28th. Everything except the virtual reality support, although there is no harm that for good does not come. As they are not satisfied with the current control by keyboard and mouse in virtual reality, they have decided to add support for motion controllers after the game’s release, with which we could find ourselves with an experience similar to the already known Serious Sam VR: The First Encounter that their players are liking so much. In addition to this, Pixel Titans confirms the arrival of the game to HTC Vive, a great news since until now it had only been announced for Oculus and OSVR.

So, the virtual reality version of STRAFE will arrive after the launch of the game, but we could find a game mechanic similar to titles like Serious Sam VR: The First Encounter, which is really liking its players by allowing them to handle weapons with motion controllers and offering all kinds of locomotion options, from teleportation to traditional movement with analog turn for the strongest. Let’s hope the wait is worth it. And by the way, those of you who haven’t already done so, take a look at the video presentation of the Kickstarter campaign. It’s not wasteful.
