CES2017 is going to arrive full of news, and among them the new KwikVR wireless system that aims to “make cables disappear” in both HTC Vive and Oculus Rift.

TPCAST has a new enemy, someone who also intends to face the problems that the current virtual reality is having: annoying cables. KwikVR it will debut at CES 2017 in Las Vegas as the “new” device that aims to eliminate the annoying cable that connects our glasses to the computer. The kit consists of a small box that connects to our Oculus Rift or HTC Vive, carrying it for example on our belt and transmitting the signal via Wi-Fi, although they are still considering better systems to hold it.

The system works with the 5 GHz band, offering a latency of less than 12 milliseconds and native resolution for each lens with a duration of 4 hours, the intermediate one unlike TPCAST, which offers from 2 to 5 hours depending on the use it is given.

From the official website they inform us that they intend to offer 100% compatibility in the two main virtual reality systems, but both KwikVR as TPCAST they could be far from what Valve would be preparing for us, since since last October said company invested a lot of money in Nitero, a company currently working on its own wireless system.

Only time will tell us which is the device that offers us the best quality and performance, but for now we only know that there are several companies that are trying to gain a foothold in this world and developing improvements for this new technology.
