Tomorrow, Tuesday, Three Kings Day in Spain, the long-awaited CES 2015 starts, which kicks off the great technological events of the year. A year that we all expect a lot for virtual reality, especially that it does not leave us with honey on our lips again as it happened in 2014.

And it is already discussed at the beginning of last year that 2014 would be the year of the first steps of the virtual reality consumption when, naive of us, we thought that would be the commercial launch of Oculus Rift Virtuix Omni, Sixense STEM, InfinitEye, vrAse and even Morpheus (though at that time we didn’t even know his name). Finally 365 days have passed and none of the mentioned devices has been commercially launched, the only thing we have had has been the Oculus DK2, the launch of Gear VR in North America and the appearance of new names such as Perception Neuron, PrioVR, ControlVR, Immersion-VRELIA, AntVR, Nimble VR (which was finally acquired by Oculus) and some more that we left in the hat.

CES begins tomorrow, and with the presence of Oculus, this time in a big way, with a huge stand of two plants that probably show of the new Crescent Bay and little more, maybe with new demos, but with some luck we might see the first fruits of the integration with Nimble VR, which could form part of the CV1 to include our real hands on experience of virtual reality. Outside the world of Oculus, ImmersiON-VRELIA will show the GO (and who knows if something else) and Virtuix will make the worldwide presentation of the final version of the Omni, which will begin to be sent to the first buyers during the next few weeks (this phrase has a certain déjà vu, right?).

Anyway, in the distance, we will follow the CES news as closely as possible and we hope that our hype continues to climb the walls, and there is nothing like starting the year with a good portion of it.
