The mass production of Virtuix Omni is about to start, and Virtuix has made several important announcements. On the one hand, the official presentation of the final version will be held in January, at CES in Las Vegas, where they hope to make a big impact. And on the other, it will be compatible with Gear VR, in fact they are already working on some demos for the Samsung and Oculus case.
Some changes have been made to the design, and from Virtuix they assure that the final device will have an elegant appearance that will leave us with our mouths open, and they are convinced that it will far exceed our expectations. The waist support and the frame are going to receive major improvements and there will be new demos and additional accessories. The delivery of the more than 3000 units sold during the Kickstarter campaign will begin at the beginning of the year, although it will be prolonged during the first quarter, in strict order of order (although we assume that they will do like Oculus and group by continents).
Virtuix takes the opportunity to show its satisfaction with the Oculus Rift Crescent Bay prototype and its absolute positioning in 360º, which indicates that the commercial version of the Rift will also have this technology and will be fully compatible with the Omni. In the coming months they will reveal more information and details, and they will also get in touch with those who supported the successful Kickstarter campaign (remember that it multiplied the requested collection by 7, exceeding one million dollars) to organize the shipments.
