The modified numbering plan local telephone communication in the territories annexed to Moscow.
Prior to July 1, 2012 current here suburban phone code 496 will be replaced by Moscow 495. The telephone number will begin with the number “8”. Thus, the room will be 49634ххххх
49584ххххх, 49675ххххх – 49585ххххх and 49676ххххх – 49586ххххх. Phone number in the code 495, beginning with “8”, decided to consolidate the new territories of Moscow.
Before 1 July 2012 Rossvyaz will notify all service providers and Roskomnadzor about the changes to the numbering in the new territories of Moscow. In turn, operators shall inform the subscribers of these
territories about phone calls. From 1 July to 1 September 2012 will be a transitional period to replace the numbering.
Starting July 1, calls residents of new Moscow territories on the Moscow telephone numbers (with codes 495, 499, 498) will be charged as a local telephone connection. Calling all
phone number in the code 496, except the number format 49634ххххх, 49675ххххх and 49676ххххх, calls will be charged as long-distance telephone connections.
The innovations approved by the minutes of the meeting of Deputy Minister of Telecom and mass communications of the Russian Federation Naum Marder on June 22. The meeting was attended by representatives of Rossvyaz, JSC “MGTS”, JSC
“Rostelecom”.
