Vladimir Zelensky has signed the decree “On some measures to attract entrepreneurs and highly skilled professionals who are citizens of the Republic of Belarus”, the official
the Internet representation of the President of Ukraine.
It is expected that the document will contribute to the development of the investment potential of Ukraine and attraction of highly skilled IT professionals and innovators.
The Cabinet of Ministers should extend to 180 days per year the period of temporary stay on the territory of Ukraine citizens of Belarus. This applies to entrepreneurs, professionals,
particular specialists in the field of it and innovation, whose immigration meets the interests of Ukraine and members of their families.
The government will implement a pilot project for simplified registration of a residence permit for these categories of citizens of the Republic of Belarus. It will be possible to reduce to three days the time for
receipt of such documents without the need for additional travel outside the Ukrainian territory.
The Cabinet needs to optimize the procedure for obtaining permits to use labour of foreigners and persons without citizenship for employment of citizens of Belarus, who are highly qualified
IT specialists. It is proposed to reduce to five days the period of provision of such permission and provide for the principle of tacit consent.
According to the decree, requires improvement of the procedure of registration of Belarusian IT-specialists as individuals-entrepreneurs – single tax payers. It is also necessary to recognize the documents issued by
the competent authorities of Belarus, which are necessary for implementation of labor activities in Ukraine.
