The new release of the Bandai Namco aircraft title will arrive early next year, on January 18.
After months of silence, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown it finally has a confirmed release date: January 18, 2019, according to PlayStation Europe on Twitter:

Ace Combat 7 will also arrive on PC, but it is unlikely to arrive with virtual reality support. VR mode appears to be a partnership between Bandai Namco and Sony directly. But maybe it’s just a temporary arrangement, like Batman Arkham VR or Skyrim VR.
