Angry Birds, the hit mobile game, is coming to Magic Leap in a new game called Angry Birds FPS: First Person Slingshot.
Rovio Entertainment’s Angry Birds franchise is one of the biggest hits in the smartphone world. The original game, of the same name, has more than 100 million installs on Android, according to the Google Play store. The entire franchise has achieved about four billion downloads, according to the company.
Now in partnership with Resolution Games (Bait!, Narrows), Rovio will bring “Angry Birds FPS: First Person Slingshot” to augmented reality in Magic Leap . While the original mobile games give players a side-scrolling view, by throwing birds from a slingshot, in an effort to knock down wobbly fortresses, Angry Birds FPS will place the slingshot in players ‘ hands, allowing them to throw birds from a first-person view and walk around the structure to get the best throwing point.
The game will be released for the Magic Leap One viewer this fall, although no exact release date or price has been announced.
