About Apple’s plans to buy the business of producing 5G modem chips for smartphones Intel announced the Agency Reuters with reference to the edition of The Wall Street Journal. The total transaction value
estimated at $1 billion.

Previously, Intel themselves said in April that it plans to cease manufacturing business smartphone modem chips of the 5G standard.

Currently the largest supplier of such chips for Apple is Qualcomm.
