Can Microsoft’s Surface Pro 3 replace your tablet and PC?

Microsoft has just launched their new Surface Pro 3, which more than ever promises to be able to replace your tablet and laptop by combining the best of both worlds in a delicious device with Windows 8.1. In this article, we take a brief look at the novelty to see if it is something that you should consider buying.

Microsoft launched its first Surface devices in 2012, and the Surface Pro 3 is of course the successor to the company’s two previous professional models, which run the full version of Windows 8.1. The thickness of the unit is now down to 9.1 mm, and the weight has also decreased to approximately 800 grams. The screen format has also changed to the ratio of 3: 2 with a resolution of 2160×1440. Processor wise, you can choose between Intel i3, i5 and i7, and the models of course also vary between 64-512 GB of memory and 4-8 GB of RAM.

The American news site The Verge has taken a little look at the Surface Pro 3 in this video:

With this slim case, Microsoft is thus closer than ever to a offer an alternative to a tablet and a laptop, which combines the functionality of both. Therefore, they have likewise improved its touchcover with keyboard, the kickstand on the back of the device and the supplied pen. It will be exciting in the coming months and years to see whether Microsoft goals will actually succeed. All of this you can read more about at TheVerge, which has also published an excellent article on all the details here.

Can you imagine dropping your iPad and laptop to instead employ a touch device with Windows 8.1, including the Surface Pro 3? Feel free to throw a comment under the article with your opinion.
