Crunchyroll, the streaming service par excellence for anime fans, will now be a little less affordable in Mexico, as it has just announced a price increase in its subscription plans.
Mexican users on social networks have started showing emails sent by Crunchyroll that indicate that their subscriptions will have an increase in cost from the November 2022 billing cycle. According to the company, this increase is due to the recent unification with Funimation, which in theory would improve the advantages of users or the number of available shows.

The plans had a significant price increase of 20%, although they maintain exactly the same advantages. And while current subscribers won’t see the change reflected until November, any new subscribers should already stick to the new prices.
This is how the costs look from now on:
* Fan Plan: goes from $99 to $119 MXN per month
* Mega Fan Plan: go from $125 to 149 MXN per month
* Annual Mega Fan Plan: it costs $1499 MXN per year, the equivalent of 10 monthly installments of the Mega Fan plan
If you don’t want to pay, remember that Crunchyroll still has a free plan, although with notable disadvantages, such as lower video quality and the lack of new chapters for animes currently in broadcast.
