Crytek wants to prove to everyone that he has jumped on the train of virtual reality and travels in a first-class wagon, because after the demo of the dinosaurs, they are preparing to show something new at E3.
The Back to Dinosaur Island demo was a real bombshell at the last GDC, and it seems that the company’s intentions go far beyond making its engine compatible with Oculus Rift. Crytek has a team of 50 people dedicated exclusively to virtual reality, so it is very possible that they are preparing a game for this platform, as we read in UploadVR, the next month are going to show at E3 in a new demo of virtual reality to the press, behind closed doors, which could reveal more data as you approach the E3. Could they show it on an Oculus Rift CV1, if Oculus has any pre-production units for next month? We’ll find out soon enough.
In any case, and given Crytek’s excellent relationship with Palmer Luckey’s company, we believe that the chances of one of the Oculus Rift launch titles coming from the hand of Crytek are very high.
