The new Google View viewer for the Daydream platform can already be purchased in some countries, while in Spain it still does not have a launch date.
The HMD View and its controller are now available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany and Australia. Its price is 79 dollars in the United States and 69 € in Germany, the latter being its possible price in Spain. In our country, both the View device and the Pixel phone, the only one currently on sale for Daydream, continue without a release date. View comes with a three-degree-of-freedom motion controller as standard, and both devices lack absolute positioning.
Daydream is the new ecosystem that Google has promoted and whose objective is to provide a high-quality virtual reality for mobile phones. The main thing to enjoy Daydream, is to have a prepared phone and a compatible viewer, as is the case with the Pixel phone and the View viewer launched today, both Google products. New terminals prepared for Daydream will arrive in the coming months.
The Daydream application available on smartphones such as Pixel and Pixel XL allows us to launch virtual reality experiences, manage our library of games, applications and videos, and know the latest news and featured content.
Google has also launched special applications for Daydream of its best-known services such as Google Photos, Google Play Movies, Google Street View, or the new Youtube VR that offers the possibility of watching all Youtube content on a large virtual screen. Google Arts & Culture is another of the applications available in Daydream that allows you to know the works of different museums, among others, and that will be improved with new updates.
