Doom 3: VR Edition, the official VR version of the horror-shooter, will be released on PSVR this month.
The news was announced in a PlayStation blog. The game will be released just a few weeks, on March 29. It will be a complete transfer of the original 2004 and its extension packages with support for the PSVR Aim Controller. It comes out on PS4 and can be played on the PS5 thanks to backward compatibility, but there is no information about the versions of PC VR (or Oculus Quest).

From Doom 3 and wider franchise, of course, a long history with VR. Series Creator John Carmack showed the game running using the first prototype of what would later become the Oculus Rift, almost 10 years ago before moving on Oculus on a regular basis.
Recently, the developer VR mods Dr.Beef introduced the game on Oculus Quest, was the hope that she will soon be in the Oculus App Lab. Now one has to wonder whether this official port to a full launch on the platform in the future?
Finally, there is Doom VFR, exclusive spin-off VR, which remixed elements of Doom 2016. However, a slower approach and a long campaign of Doom 3 will definitely make you to pay attention to this game on PSVR at the end of this month.
