The imminent Impulse Gear title is just two weeks away from its launch and to prepare for its arrival, Sony has reinforced the PSVR stock and will launch a TV ad in the United States.
Farpoint it’s the next big release of PlayStation VR which is accompanied by the new Aim Controller, a peripheral designed to be wielded with two hands and whose main function is to make the experience of using a weapon in virtual reality games more real. Sony has announced that it is preparing a TV commercial for Farpoint, which will be broadcast in the United States. The new ad, the trailer of which we can see below, is part of the Two Worlds campaign, where it is about mixing the real world with the virtual one to reflect the experience offered by virtual reality, which takes us away from the viewer’s perspective to really become the protagonist of the story.
The setting and theme remind us of the movie Starship Troopers, since here we are also on a remote planet with a sandy surface and with countless insects to put an end to. Farpoint will be available in Europe on May 17 for PlayStation VR, exclusively, and will feature a single-player story, as well as a cooperative mode in which up to 2 players will face hordes of enemies on 4 maps.
PlayStation VR since its launch has had stock problems in several countries, but this is something that should no longer happen again. As Sony has communicated that they have been working to cope with the demand.
