Here is a guide on how to reset your Windows Vista code. You may have forgotten it or acquired/bought the computer, and therefore can not log in. If you have created a floppy disk to reset your password it is of course the easiest, otherwise see instructions below.
1. If you have created a floppy disk to reset your password, select “Reset password”.
2. Here is the picture below, just follow the instructions.
3. If, like me, you had not created a floppy disk, download this ISO file and burn it to a CD/DVD disc. If you don’t know how to do this, see this guide: http://www.it-artikler.dk/2009/05/06/saadan-brander-du-en-iso-fil-til-cd-dvd/
Once you have burned your CD / DVD disc, you must set up your computer so that it boots on either CD/DVD in the bios. You usually have to push. “F2” or “Delete“when the computer starts and then change it (it is usually set by default, so try before you change anything in the bios). When you have got it all running comes the picture below, here you need to press “Enter key”
4. Then it runs through a lot and finds your hard drive where Windows Vista is installed. Write “1“and press “Enter key”
5. Now comes the next question, here you choose what it itself suggest and just thicken “Enter key” again.
6. Below you choose again “1” and pushing. “Enter key”

8. Now you can see which users have been created on your Windows Vista computer, and here I have created one called “IT Articles”. You now have to write either the name or the “Ride” it says to the left of the user you want to reset the password on. I just choose to write IT Articles and press “Enter key”
9. In the picture below you can see I wrote the name of the user “IT Articles” and you can also see the different rights the user has. You have to choose again. “1“and press “Enter key”
10. Now you can see it’s writing. “Password Cleared” and this of course means that it has reset your password for the user you have chosen. To get out and save your changes, you need to make an exclamation mark “!“and press “Enter key”
11. Below you need to write “Q“and press “Enter key”
12. Now you have to write. “Y“yes and no “Enter key”
13. Now it asks if you want to make more changes, and you write that “N“press and hold again. “Enter key”
