You can now pre-purchase the Gear VR Innovator Edition for Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, a smaller, lighter and improved version of the one available for Note 4.
The pre-purchase can be made on the Samsung website itself and in many of the most popular physical and online establishments in our country. This new version of Gear VR is also an Innovator Edition, designed for developers and the most impatient users to start preparing and testing virtual reality experiences before the launch of the commercial version of Gear VR, which will be produced at the end of the year. Gear VR for Galaxy S6 is compatible with the normal smartphone model and also with the Edge, unlike the Note 4 version.
The Gear VR Innovator Edition for Galaxy S6 offers an expanded field of view (according to Samsung), greater processing power thanks to the CPU and GPU of the S6 and a more compact design that facilitates ventilation, for which a small fan is included. In addition, we have the possibility to charge the smartphone while using it, so we will not depend exclusively on the phone battery. The pre-purchase period ends on May 17th.
