Oculus is preparing an interactive experience for the premiere of Ghost in the Shell, the cinematic adaptation of the well-known manga created by Masamune Shirow, and today we can see a 360º preview of it.
Ghost in the Shell it is set in a futuristic Japan. Motoko Kusanagi (Johansson), also known as The Major, is a cyborg special agent, who leads the elite task force Section 9. The objective of this covert operations unit within the National Security Commission is to fight cyberterrorism and technological crimes. With an artificial body, Kusanagi has replaced the entirety of his brain, allowing him to be able to perform superhuman feats especially required by his work. Trained to stop the most dangerous criminals and extremists, The Major will face a fanatical hacker, whose only goal is to put an end to Hanka Robotic’s advances in cyber technology. Soon the cyborg agent will be immersed in a series of political intrigues and state secrets to find the mysterious computer scientist.
The film starring Scarlett Johansson arrives on screens this Friday, March 31, at which time the experience for Oculus Rift, Gear VR and Facebook 360 will also be available.
