On Friday, August 15, Gubkin Russian state University of oil and gas named I. M. Gubkin, Moscow announced a competition to choose a developer integrated virtual environment of professional activity to ensure
multidisciplinary studies on the basis of the Landmark software package.
The winner of the auction, the University intends to Commission the creation of an integrated software and hardware environment allowing to carry out interdisciplinary classes with students. Moreover, this environment needs
to form a virtual oil and gas field and to implement its inherent function by simulating the actual manufacturing processes based on the processing of historically accumulated data
fields, models, software, hardware, organizational, and other provisions. In General, the contractor will examine the IT infrastructure of the SWG, and depending on the obtained results
to supply, configure and install the customer’s licenses and computer equipment. Also the contractor will be required to process the source data in the oil and gas fields, to develop
at least three interdisciplinary scenarios, and create instructions, manuals, tutorials, and interactive multimedia courses for training to work in the created virtual environment. Create
the virtual environment of the SWG was estimated at 18 million 900 thousand rubles.
The University accepts applications for participation in the competition until September 15. On the same day is scheduled the summing-up auction.
