Our partner Hyperlight has published Haunted Mansion, an experience for lovers of haunted mansions. And it’s not going to be the last demo created by our Rovians.
In Haunted Mansion we find ourselves inside a gigantic and dark mansion. It is an exploration demo, in which we will be able to go through every last corner of it and there is no action as such, but that does not mean that we cannot take the occasional scare (we strongly recommend playing with headphones). Hyperlight has used Unity to create a really dark atmosphere, and we have to recognize that the corridors impose a certain respect.
Graphically the demo has a very high level, and the audio will make us take a few breaths in our chair, although we advise playing standing up to get the greatest immersion possible, if our courage allows it of course.
Our rovianos are already developing other demos that look very good, like another one from Hyperlight itself with the help of Jubatron based on The Mechanical Orange, in which they make the leap to Unreal Engine 4. Jubatron himself is also developing a demo set in the movie Evil Dead (known here as Infernal Possession) that will feature the star appearance of someone well-known from Real or Virtual. Mandrake is also working on a demo that currently has no title and could be for over 18s. There’s that left.
Real or Virtual it offers to host the demos created by all of you, for this you just have to register the file in our RoVDB database by pressing the “Create file” button that appears on the right, adding a cover art (which can be a screenshot), a brief description of the demo and some screenshots that you can upload yourself. When you have the finished demo, you just have to contact us through the forum to send us the file and we will take care of saving it and publishing the link, although soon we will enable a system so that you can upload the files yourself.
