Warner Bros. Pictures and HTC Vive have announced at the Vive Ecosystem Conference their partnership through which Vive will be in charge of exclusively creating all the virtual reality experiences and campaigns for the upcoming Steven Spielberg film.
HTC Vive will be the exclusive partner in charge of creating all the online and offline virtual reality content and campaigns of Ready Player One, Steven Spielberg’s upcoming film, Warner Bros. Pictures, Amblin Entertainment and Village Roadshow that will be released on March 30 next year. The film is based on the science fiction book created by Ernest Cline that bears the same name. Vive will produce multiple pieces of VR content that they will distribute through Viveport for all VR platforms, from high-end PCs to mobile solutions. In addition, they plan to create specific content to take to the arcades that use Viveport Arcade and show all the experiences and games in many of the big events that are held throughout the year.
