Huawei is considering the purchase of Russian technologyone Saveliev | 10.07.2019
Over the past few months, the company approached several Russian organisations, including the developer of the Elbrus processors.
The various proposals received, three companies and the response from all was positive.
To MCST, which is the developer of the Elbrus processors, Huawei came up with the idea to create a joint venture to use the Russian processors in their technology, such as
servers. While the parties to nothing came the talks are still at an early stage, although the last several months. An important detail is the fact that perhaps the rights to
“Elbrus” has the Ministry, and therefore his position must be taken into account.
The second company, namely the “NORSI-TRANS”, a famous domestic servers “Yakhont” (on the basis of processors “Elbrus” system of operative-investigative measures (SORM), and other equipment for

According to RBC, Sergei Ovchinnikov with the following words told:
“I arrived the whole delegation of Huawei from Hong Kong, offered $100 million for the “NORSI-TRANS” fully. In my opinion, they just want to not do Russian servers, and used Huawei’s servers.
To us it is uninteresting. Then back to [Alexander] Kim, which makes the “Elbrus”, run, offered some cooperation, make joint enterprise”.
The third was “Basalt SPO”, developed by the Russian line OS “Viola”. Here, according to the interlocutor of RBC, both sides are interested in cooperation. It is likely that “Viola” is

Huawei has not commented on the situation.
The media and the interlocutors of RBC is of the opinion that this activity is associated with the struggle between China and the United States.
As stated earlier: speaking at a conference in Washington, Wilbur Ross has confirmed that Huawei will remain in the black list,
however, for some transactions, “doors will open”.
The implementation of the presidential Directive, announced at the G20 summit, planning to make with the help of special licenses that the regulator will give us companies the case when
trade products does not constitute a threat to national security.
However, many noted that the statement by Ross was not one of ease and clarity, though, it would seem that the relief should reduce the damage to the organizations based in the United States. Perhaps this
the move is not particularly effective, perhaps because Huawei and need an alternative path.
It is believed that the supply of domestic organizations was done for the sake of advancement opportunities in the Russian market and the subsequent prospects to offer your products to the public sector. According to Sergey
Ovchinnikov, Huawei the right entrance to the market, to become in some sense a Russian company to get rid of competitors by buying them.
