Render Farm Studios and Game Coder Studios present Sophie’s Guardian, a virtual reality game in which we will have to protect a little girl who has just moved into a house that seems to be haunted.
Griff it is the teddy bear that we will become to defend Sophie, a 9-year-old little girl who has moved together with her mother to an old house on the outskirts of the city. As soon as Sophie arrives, she begins to explore the house with Griff, and soon discovers a room full of belongings abandoned by the former owners. On the walls there are all sorts of mysterious scribbles, and something strange is breathed into the air. Suddenly, red eyes light up in the darkness and a voice whispers “you’re not welcome”, while long arms grab Sophie and take her away, leaving Griff with the task of doing everything possible to save her.
With this premise starts Sophie’s Guardian, a game of Mexican origin defined by its creators as survival horror and in which we can enjoy three game modes:
- The Puppeteer Mode– One player will manipulate the way the dolls appear on the stage using the Xbox controller, and that will affect the other player, who will be immersed in virtual reality.
- The Gunslinger Mode– The classic horde mode in which we will have to survive as long as possible waves increasingly difficult to defeat. It has online score tables.
- The Guardian Mode: The story mode in which we will have to overcome the 15 waves of dolls and a final boss.
The game is available on Steam Early Access for a price of € 6.74 as a launch offer, and the forecast is that it will be finished in the month of December. A possible PlayStation VR version has yet to be confirmed. You can get more information at sophie-vr.com .
