The latest version presents a new interface that will allow you to animate and design 3D models in mixed reality.
A Japanese start-up is responsible for this plugin for Autodesk’s 3D modeling software. It has been available for some time, but required very technical knowledge to integrate mixed reality capabilities with existing Maya tools.
Now, with Marui 3: Mugen, the interface and many of the features have been redesigned to allow faster and more accessible use for average users. It even includes a full tutorial that guides the user through the various options, although its efforts are focused on the tools of design and animation, being these, especially the second, which would benefit the most from the interactions from this perspective, spatial and motion controls.
The add-on, just like the base software, requires a monthly subscription of $50 per month, although it has a trial version on its website, where we can also find another plugin called BlenderXR, free of cost, which presents functionalities similar to Marui, but to be applied on the free design tool Blender.
