Luis Miguel Samperio, a social innovator who works on the implementation of different branches of Psychology and Applied Neuroscience in combination with VR Storytelling, will give a free master class on November 17 at U-tad entitled: “The Psychology of Virtual Reality: designing digital immersions towards a better world”.
The Master Class it will take place on Thursday November 17 at 16.30h in the auditorium of the University Center U-tad in Las Rozas, Madrid. During the talk, we will be able to discover how virtual reality affects the human mind, what beneficial psychological effects the feeling of wonder can generate, how it should be used to create a positive impact on society and how the quality of the audiovisual narrative affects the generation of empathy in the brain.
It will also be presented which specific techniques have an impact on the subconscious of the mind and what the psychological risks of a misuse of this powerful technology may be. Luis Miguel Samperio, who will be giving a master class, he has co-founded the Forum “Future”, is a member of the Society for Cognitive Studies of the Moving Image”, and associate researcher at the collective BeAnotherLab with the project “The Machine To Be Another” that combines psychology, neuroscience and virtual reality to foster empathy in the society.
