This weekend the 2nd Salón del Cine y las Serie de Barcelona will take place, an opportunity that Moviement Films and GKT Studios Entertainment will take advantage of to show the demo of their first game for HTC Vive.
Gappo’s Legacy it is a transmedia science-fiction drama whose plot will become a television series, comic and video game. Demian Sabini, CEO of Movimient Films, has acknowledged that they have invested four years to conceive the particular universe of Gappos. “At first we opted for the series, but seeing the immense possibilities offered by virtual reality, we opted to create the video game first,” Sabini commented. The game will be compatible with HTC Vive, since according to them it is the option that offers the greatest interactivity. “It is the one that best suited the way of playing the video game, since the player must be in continuous motion hitting, shooting, moving or bending,” he adds Alex Climent, founder and CEO of GKT Studios Entertainment and co-producer of Gappo’s Legacy.
The characters and story of Gappo’s Legacy are set in the future approximately two centuries away and on a strip of desert land known as Kafke. There, sentient intelligent machines called makinæ have been disowned and condemned by humanity to cohabit with technological pirates who enslave and traffic them. As players we will travel to Kafke to join the Makina Resistance Army, with which we will fight the pirates.
All those interested in knowing more about the game or in trying the demo will be able to come from this Friday to the Salón del Cine y las Serie in Barcelona to try this first-person experience of the universe they are creating. This first chapter bearing the name of Gappo’s Legacy VR: Arcade will be released via Steam in early access in the next three months.
