On Tuesday, July 6, the company “Megaphone” has declared that has concluded with the government Respubliki Tatarstan the agreement on cooperation in the field of development of infocommunication technologies and services
the territory of the region.
Under the terms of the mentioned agreement, the parties will develop economic, scientific-technical and information and communication cooperation on the territory of Tatarstan. The main direction
cooperation called the solution of issues on providing broadband Internet access to the rural population of the Republic, the cooperation in the implementation of the target Federal electronic
programs, expansion of access to electronic public and municipal services, as well as the construction of the third generation network in all regional centers of the Republic.
The parties also agreed that before the end of the year MegaFon will launch 3G networks in all 43 district centers of the Republic of Tatarstan, will provide infrastructure services to mobile broadband
Internet access by 2013 for 95% of the population of Tatarstan.
