Although it is very striking when some incredible cars are auctioned such as a Ferrari or an Aston Martin of some famous, it also usually happens that more classic cars of great public figures from other eras are auctioned. For example, a beloved BMW of the legendary Michael Jordan is being auctioned this week.
Michael Jordan’s legendary car auctioned
This week, we learned that the site Bring A Trailer is auctioning a 1991 BMW 850i that belonged to the legendary basketball player Michael Jordan.
Although it was not intended to directly replace the 6 Series, the BMW 8 Series offered more power and luxury. Among the most important features of the Jordan model are an 850i V12 engine, a 5.0-liter M70B50, 300 horsepower and 450 Nm of maximum torque, in addition to a 6-speed gearbox.

In the photographs you can also see the metallic paint Maritime Blue and the AC Schnitzer 17″ rims, as well as very well maintained exteriors and interiors. Apparently, the only detail he has is that the air conditioning does not work well, something that should not be very difficult to solve.
Jordan kept this car until 1995, but the second owner has driven it very little since then: today, the mileage only marks 48,000 km and does not have any crash records.
The auction has already started and at the moment the highest bid is around $85,000 USD. It will end on January 8th and whoever ends up keeping it will even receive the original documents signed by Michael Jordan at the time.
