December 6, the worldwide launch day of Touch, is approaching, and Oculus is throwing in more wood by making more kits available to developers to add motion control to their projects.
Most Rift users are already counting down the days until the launch of the controllers Oculus Touch, which will allow us to introduce our hands into virtual reality experiences from December 6th. From Oculus they inform us that they are increasing the number of kits available for developers, so that anyone who is preparing a project for these can previously obtain a development kit by filling out the form that appears on their website.
Touch it allows us to bring our ‘hands’ to virtual reality so that our experience is as immersive as possible, thus making it possible for us to gestualize and manipulate digital objects very precisely, thus making decisions and creating a more fluid, comfortable and fun situation, but above all more immersive, something that HTC Vive users have known very well since launch day. But as they say, it’s better late than never, and Oculus has wanted to polish and perfect even the smallest detail to guarantee that, in terms of software and ergonomics, the wait has been worth it. We will get out of doubt in just three weeks.
