With Aura, Telefónica leads the integration of AI into its networks and customer service, as well as revolutionizing home communications and televisionmaking it easier, more interactive and accessible for everyone to access and manage content.
In a natural and simple way, users will be able to talk to Aura through Movistar Home with a single voice command, ”OK Aura”. With edge computing capabilities to process and analyze data, Movistar Home is much more than a landline phone and seeks to become a connection center for all devices in the home, from where users manage their services.
Movistar Home, a new entertainment experience
Equipped with a second screen, Movistar Home allows you to make calls and video calls that can be projected on TV, manage the connectivity of the router and voice control of television. Speaking with Aura, Telefónica customers can turn on the TV, watch or change the channel, put subtitles, schedule a recording or ask for a recommendation, all with the voice, forgetting the remote control. The user can thus enjoy a new entertainment experience.
Although Movistar Home will be launched in Spain this autumn, we can already know firsthand how Aura will work through this new device. From July to September, the company has launched the #MeetMovistarHome campaign in six Movistar stores in Madrid and Barcelona to perform tests with real users that allow the company to train Aura’s artificial intelligence and perfect the device.
