MTS went for a direct accession on Friday, August 7, the company “Mobile TeleSystems” (MTS) announced the organization of a direct connection of its network with the network of the firm Telecom Italia Sparkle to transmit international voice
traffic.
Recall that in 2006, MTS received a license to provide long-distance service, and in the fall of last year commissioned a long-distance communication network and obtained the permission of the Ministry of communications of the Russian Federation on the provision of
services pass international and long distance traffic using its own network. Accordingly, the operator was able to establish direct connection with international
operators.
Arranging a direct connection with Telecom Italia Sparkle, the company received access to all the international transit areas of new partners, organized by connecting with other
international operators of fixed and mobile communications. In turn, Telecom Italia Sparkle will be able to send traffic directly to the network MTS in Russia, Armenia, Belarus,
Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
