NASA will send to Mars helicopter to fly over planetolusola Dragun | 23.06.2020
This is the first flight of the Wright brothers, but only on another planet, says Mimi Aung (Aung MiMi), project Manager at NASA.
Flight over the surface of Mars is not a trivial task There discharged the atmosphere and is therefore difficult to create lift with screws. The density of the atmosphere is only one hundredth from
the density of Earth’s atmosphere.
The process can be compared with flying at 30,000 feet above the Ground. No ground helicopter never flew on the mark. It is more than two times the height of jet
liners.
On the other hand, the gravity on Mars is only a third of the earth, which will help raise transport in the air.
The helicopter will travel to Mars with a robot “Perseverance”. It will be the fifth robotic Rover sent there by NASA. The launch mission is scheduled for July 20. This is one of the three
missions heading to Mars this year.
If the plan works, it’s small helicopter named “Ingenuity”, will open future robots a new way to get photos from Mars and the other planets of the Solar system.
