Netflix is in a process of change, in which it has to adapt to a new world with more and more competitors in the streaming industry. And fortunately, that means that users win: new advantages were announced that came to their cheapest plan.
In its recent results report, Netflix confirmed that it is distributing new advantages for its plan with ads, the cheapest in its catalog ($99 MXN per month in Mexico). You see, until now, the plan only allowed to stream content at 720 (HD) quality on one device at a time, but now it will already have 1080p (FullHD) resolution and will be able to stream content to 2 devices at once.
Netflix mentioned that these new advantages will only be available for Canada and Spain for the time being and that they will eventually reach the rest of the markets where this plan is available. However, interestingly, it seems that at least they already work in Mexico: Xataka confirmed that by testing it was possible to transmit content on 2 screens at the same time.
In other news, Netflix has also confirmed that it will slightly delay its plan to charge for out-of-home account sharing worldwide. It is expected to enter into force at the end of July.
