Following the news from Google, this time they have released a new video of Project Tango, the impressive real-time 3D scanning system with which they amazed us at the beginning of the year. The project is still progressing and it almost seems like magic to check how the map is generating in real time while the user is walking through a building.
The system allows us to make several passes to fill in the possible gaps that we have left previously, and the final result leaves us speechless, especially considering the price of this type of systems. Google has achieved a more than acceptable result considering that it uses a simple mobile phone, although it is not just any mobile, at the moment it is a prototype called “Peanut”, which uses special very high resolution cameras.
