The new installment of the fighting saga, which will arrive this June 2, bets on its classic third-person gameplay for virtual reality.
Shirrako gaming he has published on his YouTube channel a video that shows how the gameplay of Tekken 7 in virtual reality. The video specifically consists of a training match between the characters Devil Jin and Akuma, from Street Fighter, on the Infinite Azure stage. The player is placed in the usual perspective of this type of fighting games, but with the possibility of looking around and enjoying the environment, as well as the immersion of being inside the scene.
Since its announcement, at the end of 2015, there was a lot of speculation about how the gameplay of this type of games would be in virtual reality, even considering the option of playing it in the first person, but the developer itself, Bandai Namco, suggested that this would not be the case. In Tekken 7 with PlayStation VR, the users will be the camera and we will decide what to watch. At the moment, there are no further details on whether the game will have full support for all modes and whether virtual reality will otherwise affect the gameplay.
Tekken 7 prepares its launch on PlayStation VR for next June 2 for € 69.99. The game will also be available on PC, but there is no official confirmation of whether virtual reality support will come to this platform.
