VR Bits, creators of Darkfield, have created a new video game for virtual reality with miniature perspective, a style that triumphs in HMDs. We will have to defend ourselves by shooting the toys that cause us the most fear in our room.
In Nighttime Terror, the camera remains static and we will have to use the gamepad to move around the room. With the movement of our head, we control a crosshair to shoot at the enemies, more and more numerous and resistant. From time to time we will receive improvements that will allow us to cause more damage, shoot faster and so on. The game has online leaderboards to compete with other players for the highest score. You can download a playable demo for Oculus Rift DK2 on the game’s website (and even buy it) and, if we like it, give it our vote in Greenlight to make it come to Steam.
At the moment, the full game is only available for Oculus Rift, but soon it will also come out for Gear VR (there is a demo in the Oculus Store), Cardboard (demo available on Google Play) and also a version without virtual reality, to play it on a monitor. And although the title says otherwise, it is not a scary game, in fact it is quite friendly and also suitable for the little ones.
