The agreement between Nokia and The Walt Disney Company continues with the arrival of new experiences that will put users behind the scenes of the highly anticipated Star Wars movie.

Nokia he announced the arrival of virtual reality experiences to complement the film Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which will be released in theaters on December 15. The company maintains an agreement with The Walt Disney Studios for the creation of immersive content that complements Disney films. Nokia is responsible for providing filmmakers with the entire software and hardware solution based on OZO, so that they have all the necessary tools, in the creation of immersive content. Previously, they have collaborated for the experiences of Peter and the Dragon, Alice through the Looking Glass, and the Jungle Book.

“We are excited to partner with Lucasfilm and Disney to bring the magic of immersive VR storytelling to one of the most exciting and anticipated cinema experiences of all time,” he comments Brad Rodrigues, interim chairman of Nokia Technologies. “OZO will allow Star Wars fans around the world to be transported to the incredible worlds depicted in the story, and together truly feel the power of the force.”

The virtual reality experiences will serve to show users behind-the-scenes material, and learn more about the film’s recording process. The specific details about the content of these experiences, the compatible platforms and dates, will be known soon.
