A shooter with six degrees of freedom that arrives in early access to Steam after a successful Kickstarter campaign in which they raised $ 306,537.
Revival Productions has announced that the first phase of the early access of Overload, a shooter with six degrees of freedom from the creators of the Descent saga. The game has a cost of 22,99€, and currently includes 4 levels in challenge mode, variants to change the focus to survival or efficiency, training mode, test mode, a player that is not part of the campaign, 12 weapons and 10 types of enemies.
The objective of the early access is to improve the challenge mode thanks to user feedback, and to unveil a part of the single-player campaign in order to refine the interface and complexity of the levels, among other things. The next update scheduled for the end of March/beginning of April, will add a full campaign level, another challenge mode level, a new missile type and leaderboards. Revival Productions is planning to go updating Overload every 3 or 4 weeks so that the full game has a campaign with 15 missions, written by the writer of Freespace 2, in addition of challenge mode with over 12 levels, ships that can be improved, 16 types of weapons with upgrades, more than 20 types of enemies, 3 bosses and an epic soundtrack created by the same composers who gave life to Descent 1 and 2.
Overload will also feature a level editor, which will be available after the full version is released, and a free expansion that will add multiplayer mode. The full version of the game is expected by the end of this year and the expansion should arrive 6 or 8 months later.
