Prime Planet Energy & Solutions, organized by the corporations Panasonic and Toyota Motor, plans to expand the production of prismatic lithium-ion batteries for hybrid vehicles.
It is planned to build a new production line within an existing enterprise Panasonic in the Prefecture of Tokushima in Western Japan. After reaching full capacity production will be able
to provide batteries to 500,000 hybrid per year.
Start of production is scheduled for 2022.
