Based in Segovia, Mundo Pixelado is a recently created Spanish company that is developing two games for virtual reality, Outlands Safehouse being the first one looking for support in Greenlight.
Outlands Safehouse is a calm and relaxed virtual reality experience that invites us to discover a curious place in order to escape the stress of Moderna. Compatible with room scale and motion controllers, its current version is prepared for HTC Vive, and soon they will add official support for Rift and Touch. As for locomotion, Pixelated World gives us the freedom to choose between teleportation or traditional displacement. At the moment they are looking for support in Greenlight to get the game to Steam in early access, since it is a first experiment by the company, which they will continue to improve.
Among the company’s plans is the creation of another title called Dawn of Witchcraft, a game set in the Mountains of Valsaín, Segovia, which puts us in the shoes of a magician. This title will also be released in early access through Steam, and will have an online mode. If the project is well received and they receive sufficient income, they intend to have it completed within 1 year, and add a story mode to it. Both experiences are being developed in Unreal Engine, since it is the graphics engine in which they have specialized.
For Alexis Larrodé, CEO of Pixelated World, making games for virtual reality is a dream that has taken him almost 10 years of preparation, learning all aspects in the creation of a video game. Since September, the new company formed by Alexis, and several workers, has been carrying out direct projects for clients that serve as financing to carry out these two games.
