The popular Plex media player is finally coming to virtual reality with a client that offers full support for HTC and Oculus motion controllers and with the ability to play 3D videos.
This version for virtual reality stands out mainly for its simple controls thanks to the motion controllers, voice recognition and support for room scale, which will allow us to walk through the shelves loaded with multimedia content that we have in our Plex library. And we couldn’t leave out the 3D video support, which we can enjoy in our favorite HMD and being compatible with the left / right and up /down format.
Plevr’s plans are to continue improving the client in the future, and for this they already have features such as 360º content playback, more environments and more widgets on the roadmap. Plevr has a price of € 7.99 with a 20% discount, and requires that we have a Plex account (free) that we can create in Plex.tv , in addition to a multimedia server with the Plex service installed, which we can download both for PC and for the main NAS on the market.
