Cool Font has published a free demo of its Android application that turns our mobile into a walker, and has updated it with support for more mobile phones.
The free demo of PocketStrafe it is only available for Android devices and can be downloaded through Google Play. PocketStrafe is a mobile application that allows us to move around the virtual world, putting the phone in our pocket so that it controls the movement of our legs while we run on the same place. It is compatible with SteamVR and Oculus in all those games that support keyboard or gamepad, and even in those like Onward or Arizona Sunshine.
The only limitation of the demo is that every 5 minutes we will get a link to buy the full version. The developers comment that thanks to this demo users will be able to test first-hand if it is compatible with their terminals before buying the full version on Android or iOS. In order for it to work, apart from the mobile application it is necessary to install a client on Windows, the download link of which you can find here. An interesting alternative for us to get an idea of how a walker could work in the case of not wanting to spend the money it costs or, as in the case of the Omni, for not living in the United States.
