Radial-G: Racing Revolved, the fast-paced racing game heir to the style of F-Zero and Wipeout, continues to prove that there is life after a failed Kickstarter. Tammeka Games is preparing to release the game on Steam Early Access and the chosen date is December 11th. The multiplayer mode for 16 racers is the main attraction of the initial version, but it is not the only one.
There will also be a new scenario that takes place in the depths of space, around an abandoned mining station on an asteroid, three new circuits full of turns, jumps and inverted tunnels, two ships with different behaviors, online and offline mode, the possibility of temporarily converting our shield into acceleration, improved physics and support for Oculus Rift DK1, DK2 and monitor.
After the release of this first version on Steam, Tammeka Games will continue working on improving the game, with the aim of having the following features in the final version:
-
- A total of three environments
-
- Three circuits per environment, with mirror and reverse options to unlock
-
- Three ships to choose from with different handling mechanics
-
- Customizable pilots and ships
-
- Support for online multiplayer mode with 32 players
-
- Game modes including single races, championships, elimination and much more
It is important to note that the game will be on Steam Early Access for a very short time and the price will be cheaper, so it will be a good time to get hold of it if we are really interested. But not everything will end here, since Tammeka Games intends to launch monthly updates with new content such as environments, circuits, ships and other features such as weapons, pilots, a circuit editor, new achievements and perks to obtain benefits in multiplayer mode. Versions for Mac, Linux and PS4 are planned for 2015. If you haven’t tried it yet, you can download the demo for monitor and Oculus Rift (DK1 and DK2) here.
