Reddit is taking another step towards crypto. After the launch of an NFT series, a partnership with FTX Pay has now been announced in a press release. Thanks to the integration, users in the USA, the EU, Australia and other regions can buy Ethereum via selected Reddit apps. The FTX payment service provides the infrastructure.
However, the partnership also provides new opportunities for Reddit’s internal reward system, the so-called “community points”. This is a cryptocurrency based on the Arbitrum blockchain, with which the reputation of a community or a contribution can be reproduced. Arbitrum, in turn, is a scaling solution for Ethereum.
Specifically, users should be able to use their community points to pay network fees for transactions, for example.
