The last big announcement of Samsung’s Unpacked event this Wednesday was the revelation of the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, its new high-end true wireless headphones. Like the rest of the products shown today, the improvement is incremental, ideal for those who are going to get new ones, but not for those who want to improve if they already have them.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro 2 are 15% smaller than their predecessors, which makes them lighter and theoretically also more comfortable, especially in relation to the passage of air for extended periods of time. In addition, they have IPX7 certification for splash and dust resistance, nothing fancy but nothing bad.
An interesting point about these headphones is that they can already play high fidelity 24-bit audio, as long as the device producing it runs One UI 4.0, that is, the most recent Samsung smartphones. Of course, it is also necessary that the application in question supports this standard. Likewise, the 360° audio was also improved thanks to a multichannel immersive technology, which will allow you to immerse yourself more in those videos or experiences that allow it.
As for autonomy, the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro 2 promise up to 5 hours of continuous playback with noise cancellation active, or 8 with it disabled. In addition, the case offers several full charges, for a total of 18 or 29 hours depending on whether you have the cancellation activated.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro 2 will be sold at $ 229.99 USD and can be pre-ordered from today, to start distributing this August 26. The headphones are available in graphite, bora purple and white.
