Platform SideQuest marks the anniversary since its launch in may 2019, shortly after the release of the Oculus Quest. On the same day, the platform received 500-e approved application — pilot and relaxing experience called BlanketWorks from the Creator of the SideQuest Shane Harris.
SideQuest is one of the easiest and best ways to download the experience in the Oculus Quest, which is not in the official store Oculus. With the launch of the Oculus Quest Facebook has implemented a strict policy of curating content, available through the Oculus on the headset. However SideQuest provides a way for users to install custom content that is not available in the Oculus Store, whether because of rejection, a pending application or just because it’s more experimental and not one that is suitable for official platform.
Over the past year the amount of content on SideQuest quickly increased, as well as its diversity. Although hand tracking in the Quest now got the full version, SideQuest is a center for experimental demonstrations of this technology, such as Hand Physics Lab. Some applications in the SideQuest also now accept donations or require a purchase to install, while others are free demonstrations of great games that are available in the Oculus Store, or are still in development.
The 500th title is approved SideQuest is a new experience Creator SideQuest Shane Harris called BlanketWorks , which uses hand tracking Quest without a controller.
Many users are familiar with the Oculus Quest, SideQuest, but if you’re new to the platform and want to learn how to configure and begin to use the software that is different from the Oculus Store, refer to the detailed manual.
