Simple and free text editor
If you are missing a simple and free text editor for Windows, Notepad++ is highly recommended. Windows usually has its own built-in text editor, it is called notepad. It can be great for small tasks, but if it gets a little long-haired, Notepad++ can make the difference. The editor can include:a. used for creating and editing files written in HTML, CSS, PHP and JavaScript. For example, if you have a PHP document and write it in the alm. Notepad, it will just write it out in a run and on a line. But with Notepad++ it will set it up correctly, and make it more manageable.
Notepad++ can be downloaded from http://notepad-plus-plus.org/
First just a few options
Go to Settings & gt; Preferences > new document / Default Folder tab.
Put dot next to UTF-8 (without BOM) and check mark next to apply when opening ANSI file.
This means that the letters æ, ø and å are stored and displayed correctly.
On the right side of the window, you can choose where and how files by default
to be saved and opened.
Now you are actually ready for ar work in the program.
Print line numbers
If you’d like to include line numbers on prints, go to Settings > Preferences.
Click the print tab and check the print line numbers. Then click Close.
Displaying the folder panel
If you would like to see a folder panel with your files and folders on the left side, you can install
the Explorer plugin. Go in Plugins & gt; Plugin Manager > Show Plugin Manager.
Check the Explorer box and click Install. Follow the guide.
To turn the folder panel on and off, go to Plugins > Explorer > Explorer.
