The first official game based on The Walking Dead universe will immerse us in the city of New Orleans, where walkers will not be our only concern.
Skydance Interactive, studio responsible for the Archangel game, and Skybound Entertainment, company behind The series The Walking Dead, have presented The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, the first virtual reality game based on the series. Skydance already anticipated last year that they were working on several games in the franchise, using the first of them a “new contextual system” to interact with the characters we find.
Set in the remains of New Orleans, we will have to make our way through the iconic neighborhoods in which walkers (zombies) will be the least of our problems. As in the series, we will face other survivors, having to make decisions that will lead us to wonder if we want to become a “saint” or a “sinner”, hence the title of the game. “You’ve seen and played the world of The Walking Dead, now, get ready to live it,” they say.
The Walking Dead: Saints& amp; Sinners will be available in 2019. At the moment they have not shared more details, as well as which platforms it will reach, but hopefully it will do so to the same viewers as its previous title Archangel (Rift, Vive and PSVR).
The companies will talk about the title at Comic-Con in San Diego (USA), where they will also show a real recreation of the previous teaser image.
